How Does a DIY Installation Work?
Let’s be clear. You won’t be out there digging trenches, welding, or putting up pillars. We still install the gate itself, but you can install the electrical part of the security gate. You can save money by installing the electrical components yourself.
Once we install the gate, we can provide you with detailed drawings and instructions for installing the motor and electrical components.
You don’t need a certified electrician to install the automatic gate’s motor or electrical items. All you have to do is connect the system to a power source.
What Happens if I Run Into a Problem?

What’s the Downside to a DIY Installation?
Our technicians are experts at driveway gate installation, and we work quickly when installing the motors and electrical components. Someone unfamiliar with these components could take several hours or more to finish the job.

If you want to get the job done fast, you would be better off with a full-service automatic gate installation.
However, if you love to tinker, then a do-it-yourself driveway gate motor installation may be right up your alley.
What’s Covered by the Warranty?
If you choose to install the automatic gate motor yourself, your motor is covered for 2 years on parts, but not labour. We can send you a new motor and you can install it yourself (again) or you can hire us to install it for you.
While we have the expertise to get the job done quickly, we know how great it feels to accomplish a DIY project. Plus, you save a little money too.
