At Pacifica Gate we understand that some customers like the do it yourself aspect of a project. However, we also want to be there for you in case you run into trouble. This level of DIY support is unparalleled in the driveway gate industry.

How Does a DIY Installation Work?

Generally our DIY customers wish to install the electrical part of the security gate project themselves. Once the gate itself is installed we provide the customers with detailed drawings and instructions of how to install the motor and electrical components.

A certified electrician is not needed to install the automatic gate’s motor or electrical items, only to connect the system to a power source. By installing the electrical components yourself you can save money.

What if there is a problem?

If you find you are having difficulty with any aspect of the security gate installation we always invite you to contact us. We are available to help you through an installation, even if it’s advice over the phone. While we have the expertise to get the job done quickly, we also understand that some of our customers want to save money where they can, and some just like the accomplishment of a do it yourself project.

What’s the Downside?

Our staff is experienced at driveway gate installation as well as the installation of the motors and electrical components, so we work quite quickly. For someone not familiar with these components it could take several hours or more to get the job done. If you are looking to get the job done fast, then perhaps you would be better off with a full service automatic gate installation. However, if you love to tinker then a do it yourself driveway gate motor installation may be right up your alley.

What about the Warranty?

If you choose to install the automatic gate motor yourself then your motor is still covered for 2 years on parts, but not labour. That means we can send you a new motor and you can install it yourself (again) or you can hire us to install it for you.
